Medical Humanities – Open Forum

Herausgegeben von Vincent Barras, Mariacarla Gadebusch Bondio, Martina King  u.a.

Medical Humanities explore issues at the intersection of medicine and the humanities and social sciences. Such issues include the ways in which illness is dealt with and talked about in history and present times, the social premises of medical knowledge, the social frameworks of medical actions, and ethical questions that influence the ways in which health professionals think and act.

The new book series Medical Humanities – Open Forum complements the already established series Medical Humanities. It is intended to provide space for experimental and innovative text forms, methods and research approaches that deviate from the usual genres of research monographs or anthologies. Those texts forms may include contributions written in dialogical style or illustrated books in the border area of medical humanities to the arts and art studies.the series intends to amplify innovative forms of exchange on and discussion about the medical humanities.

The series will stimulate and bring together ongoing research and discussions and present its results to the global scientific community.
